Lifting beams
Our range of lifting beams encompasses both standard and custom-made models, designed in-house and available in fixed and adjustable versions, as well as spreader beams, vacuum lifting beams, and coil hooks.
Lifting beam for crane
CERTEX Danmark A/S offers a large selection of crane lifting beams that you can buy or rent. It depends entirely on your needs and whether the lifting beam is to be used once or repeatedly. Our lifting beams can be used with cranes, among other things - as a load distributor and a connecting link to the load.
What is a lifting beam?
A lifting beam distributes the weight of the load to be lifted - and is thus used to establish balance during a lift. It is a lifting device that can be mounted between the crane hook and the load. There are many different types of lifting beams (or lifting yokes), and we offer a wide range of standard models:
- Fixed lifting beams
- Adjustable lifting beams
- Vacuum lifting beams
- Pallet forks
- Spreader beams
- Container lifting beams
- Coil hooks
- Mechanical lifting grabs
We also often experience that our customers have a unique need and want us to design a customized lifting beam with the functions they want. We have a large engineering department with extensive experience in designing and constructing lifting equipment.
Who uses lifting beams? And for what?
Lifting beams are used in connection with all types of loads, both light and heavy lifts. Therefore, lifting beams are also used by several companies in various industries, including construction, industry, wind, and transport. This could, for example, be for lifting wind turbine components (such as nacelles, blades or tower sections) or in connection with a load test, where a test load must be distributed evenly. Lifting beams are also used in marinas for boat lifting – this could be a helicopter beam, for example.
Types of lifting beams
As mentioned before, there are many types and forms of lifting beams, and the choice depends, of course, on the lifting task. Fixed lifting beams are often used for uniform loads of approximately the same weight and size. In contrast, adjustable lifting beams and spreader beams offer greater flexibility, as adjustable lifting beams often provide the option of adjustable suspension points, and modular spreader beams can be configured as desired by combining interchangeable struts, end joints, and suspension points. This means that the length of the modular lifting beam can be adjusted specifically for each lifting task.
If you need to lift large, difficult loads such as smooth and airtight sheets of steel, fibreglass or aluminium, you may be looking for a vacuum lifting beam. With this choice, you will easily and safely handle loads that would typically be challenging to lift and move. Mechanical lifting grabs are used for lifting and handling concrete pipes, as well as for lifting and handling curbstones and tiles. Our standard range offers capacities of up to 1.6 tons, covering most lifting needs in the area.
Renting a lifting beam
Do you need a lifting beam for a single lifting task or project? Then it makes sense to rent the lifting beam instead of buying it. CERTEX Danmark A/S has more in stock in our rental department, and you can rent them at reasonable prices. This way you avoid the subsequent storage, maintenance, inspection, etc.
