At CERTEX Danmark A/S we are proud to have delivered and installed 10 gantry cranes in connection with the construction of the new Storstrøms bridge. The CERTEX-GH cranes are installed in the construction halls for safe and reliable handling of bridge elements manufactured on site, such as bridge piers, bridge girders, and other components. The largest crane we have delivered to the project is a 260-ton specially designed gantry crane with a lifting height of 13 meters and a span of 28 meters. Other cranes have capacities of 10 tons, 20 tons, 32 tons, and 50 tons.
Delivering cranes for an infrastructure project of this size has been an exciting and unique task. Our crane technicians have experienced the impressive scale of the project up close, as they have been present at the construction site on Masnedø for several months - from February to August 2019 - to erect the CERTEX-GH gantry cranes. We now come annually to carry out statutory inspections of the cranes.
It is the Italian joint venture, SBJV, that is building the new Storstrøms bridge for the Danish state.

Constructing a bridge requires high-capacity crane solutions. Heavy bridge elements must be moved and handled safely and efficiently throughout the entire production process.
It must be taken into account that there may be periods when the cranes run virtually non-stop, so reliability is also an extremely important factor.

Storstrømsbroen er Danmarks tredjestørste bro og den forbinder Sjælland og Falster via Masnedø. Den nye bro bliver ca. 4 kilometer lang og bygges med jernbane, landevej til biler samt en gang- og cykelsti.
