Eyebolts
What is an eyebolt?
An eyebolt is a type of fastening equipment. It consists of a bolt with a round, fixed or rotatable loop-shaped eye, or head if you like. Eyebolts are available both with and without threads. Some eyebolts are also available with a swivel so that they can rotate 360 degrees, and they are thus adjustable in the direction of the load. Eyebolts are typically made of steel or stainless steel and painted in a selected colour. Choose your eye bolt based on the environment in which it will be used, to prevent corrosion.
What are eyebolts used for
Eyebolts are used for fastening to an item that you either want to lift or drag. You can use them to attach ropes, wires, chains or other tools to it, once they have been mounted in an item. Please pay attention to the lifting angle when using them for lifting and follow the instructions in the user manual. Choose the size and shape that suits the specific application. The eye size of the eyebolt must be large enough to handle the hooks or other fasteners that will be used. Check that the thread type is suitable for the surface or material to which the eyebolt is to be attached. Make sure that the eye bolt is correctly connected to the workpiece and follow the instructions for use carefully.
