Do you often need to lift items in hard-to-reach places or in places where other types of lifting equipment cannot be installed immediately? Then a davit crane could be a good solution for you.
What is a davit crane?
A davit crane from Thern or Gebuwin is a small mobile jib crane that can be easily assembled and disassembled right where you need to lift without the use of tools. The davits all have quick-release pins, which ensure quick disassembly. The crane can be packed away when you don't need it, as it takes up minimal space when disassembled.
All our models can swivel 360 degrees via a bushing bearing in the base. They have adjustable booms that can be adjusted to give you a wide range of height and reach combinations. Some of them have pull-outs, which give you even greater reach.
The largest model can lift up to 900 kg, and the heaviest sub-component weighs only 34 kg. If you need to lift loads heavier than that, the solution may be one of our mobile jib cranes. It has the same advantages with 360-degree rotation, can be moved around, but is not portable.
Our davit cranes come standard with a pedestal base, wire and winch (hand or electric winch), but we also offer other bases (separately). With different bases for your crane, you can enjoy it at several workstations in your company, simply by moving the crane from base to base. A wall bracket is available for the Gebuwin davits.
Where can I use my portable crane?
Mobile davit cranes can be used both indoors and outdoors. They are available with five different corrosion-resistant surface treatments: powder coating (type 5PT10), galvanized (type 5PT10G), stainless steel 304 (S) and 316 (S316), and three layers of epoxy. Therefore, davit cranes are found in almost all industries, such as sewage treatment plants, ports, construction, manufacturing, and many more.
