For Fasterholt Maskinfabrik's new factory hall, which contains their assembly and development department, we have delivered and installed 2 overhead cranes with a lifting capacity of 5 tons.
Fasterholt Maskinfabrik has manufactured agricultural irrigators for many years, and to continue meeting the increasing demand for advanced irrigation solutions that meet modern environmental requirements and efficiency standards, they have built a new, large assembly and development hall. Here, a stable and modern crane solution was needed for handling large items and machines, so CERTEX Danmark A/S was contacted.
Together, we found the best crane solution for the company, resulting in two new overhead cranes that, with their design and high lifting height, make the best possible use of the space.

5-tons overhead cranes
To handle large items in connection with the development of irrigation machines, Fasterholt Maskinfabrik needed a new crane solution for their new, large development and assembly hall.
The choice fell on two single-girder overhead cranes with a capacity of 5 tons. These cranes are lightweight, as they use smaller girders and travel rails. The hoist and trolley are designed to take up as little space as possible in width, so that the hook can work closer to the wall. This results in the most possible working space in the hall.
The overhead cranes are specially adapted to the hall and are equipped with compact, underrunning hoists with frequency converters, which ensure smooth start-up and stop.
It is this feature in particular that the company is excited about – they call it ”Smooth sailing”.
