Gantry Cranes for the Storstroem Bridge

CERTEX Danmark A/S supplies and installs 10 Gantry Cranes for the new Storstroem Bridge together with our partner GH Cranes. The pictures show the two 10 ton cranes recently installed to handle elements for the new bridge. The cranes are installed in halls where the steel reinforcement is handled for the large bridge elements. 

Crane details:

• WLL: 10T
• Span: 18 meters
• Height: 8 meters under the girder

Facts about the Storstroem Bridge

The Storstroem Bridge, which is Denmark's third largest bridge, connects Sjælland and Falster via Masnedø.

• The bridge will be approx. 4 km long
• The bridge is expected to be ready for car traffic in 2022
• The bridge is expected to be ready for train traffic in 2023
• The bridge is being built by JV Stormstroem Bridge – ITINERA S.p.A.
