Lifting hook – an indispensable component

When loads must be lifted and moved, lifting components are often necessary for the correct and safe execution of the lifting task. Lifting hooks are used, for example, in chain slings, textile lifting slings or wire slings to secure the load before the lift is carried out. Regardless of what type of hook you need, we can assist. This category includes variants such as self-locking hooks, sling- and grab hooks. They are available in different designs, such as with a fork, eye, or swivel – and some come with a pawl, handle, safety pin or other.
 

Choosing lifting hooks – what you need to be aware of

You must choose the lifting hooks that suits the lift you will perform. Maybe it is a lift repeated many times in a specific work process – or it is just a single lifting task. Regardless, you need to pay attention to the WLL – i.e. the maximum working load for both the hook and the lifting device the hook is part of – e.g. the chain sling. If you combine chains and components of different sizes and grades, the lowest WLL will be valid for the sling's WLL.
