EWL – Effective Working Length


You have probably come across the abbreviation EWL if you work with lifting. You can find it on labels, in user instructions or in product texts, but do you know what it means?

In a round sling, EWL is measured as the internal length when the round sling lies flat and is pulled out completely by hand.
